Terms of Use
End User Licence Agreement · Last updated: 3 September 2026
1. Acceptance
By using Clack ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. This agreement is between you and Fabian Schneider ("the developer"), not with Apple.
2. What Clack is
Clack is a voice interface for Claude Code sessions running on your own computer. It attaches to sessions you already have open; it does not start them, and it does not run them for you.
3. What you bring yourself
Clack requires your own computer, your own installation of Claude Code, and your own account with Anthropic. The App does not include access to Claude Code or to any Anthropic service, and does not pay for your use of them. What you owe Anthropic, and the terms you have agreed with them, are between you and Anthropic.
4. What it can do on your behalf
What you say is delivered to Claude Code as an instruction. Claude Code can edit files, run commands, and make changes on your computer. You are responsible for what it does on your behalf, including anything it does in response to a misheard or unintended instruction. Keep backups, and do not use Clack for anything you would not be willing to type into that session yourself.
5. Licence
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not redistribute the App, rent or resell access to it, or attempt to derive its source code except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
6. Subscription
Clack is a monthly auto-renewing subscription, with a free introductory period for new subscribers. Payment is taken by Apple and renews until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings, at least a day before the next renewal. An unused part of a free period is forfeited on purchase.
7. Speech processing
To transcribe what you say and to speak replies aloud, Clack sends the spoken line to speech providers acting on our behalf. See the Privacy Policy for what is and is not sent.
8. Fair use
Subscriptions include a monthly allowance of speech processing. We may limit or suspend use that is automated, resold, or far outside normal personal use.
9. Maintenance and support
The developer is solely responsible for any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to furnish either. Support requests go to hello@clack-app.com.
10. Warranty and your statutory rights
Except for the rights the law gives you and which cannot be excluded, the App is provided "as is". Nothing in these terms limits the statutory warranty and consumer rights you have under Austrian and European Union law; those apply in addition to this agreement.
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are the developer's responsibility.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for damage arising from use of the App, including damage or data loss caused by an agent acting on something you said. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or under the Austrian Product Liability Act.
12. Claims
The developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the App fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, claims arising under consumer protection or privacy law, and any claim that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
13. Legal compliance
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
14. Third-party terms
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App, in particular those of Anthropic and of Apple.
15. Apple as third-party beneficiary
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and upon your acceptance of it Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.
16. Governing law
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in your own courts.
17. Changes
These terms may be updated. Material changes are published on this page with a new date. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
