Voice Chat Messenger for Claude Code.

Talk to the sessions already running on your own computer. Hear what it is doing, steer it when it heads the wrong way, and keep the work moving while you are away from your desk.

What it is

The sessions you left running, in your pocket.

Clack does not start anything or run its own agent. It attaches to the Claude Code sessions already open on your Mac — so the project you left running this morning is the one you pick up on the walk home.

Every session, by name

Six projects open at once is normal. Clack lists them all and you switch between them by voice, each with its own history.

Hear the reasoning

What it is doing and why — the useful line, read out loud. Not a log of every file it touched.

Step in when it drifts

A twenty-minute refactor does not need you for twenty minutes. It needs you at the two moments it heads the wrong way.

Features

Built for talking, not typing.

Everything here exists because your hands and eyes are somewhere else.

Genuinely hands-free

Speak, and hear the answer. Your phone stays in your pocket, the screen stays off, and it knows when you have finished a sentence.

Type when you cannot talk

On a train, or in a room where speaking out loud is not an option — type instead. Same session, same thread.

Only what is worth saying

Choose how much you hear: every step, the prose it writes as it thinks, or just the answer at the end.

Nothing is lost

Your messages and the whole run log stay put — close the app, come back tomorrow, and the conversation is where you left it.

Made for AirPods

Pinch to mute and unmute without reaching for your phone. Works with the lock screen and car controls.

Nothing to configure

No API keys, no provider accounts, no server to run. Install the relay, scan a code, and it works.

Security

Nothing of yours passes through us.

Private by design. Your code and conversations never reach us.

Straight to your Mac

Your phone talks to a relay on your own machine. Conversations, file contents and session names never pass through us. The developer never sees or touches your data.

Zero Telemetry

The app sends no analytics, no tracking and no usage data — it stores settings locally and that's it. (This website counts visits, cookieless and anonymous.)

Secure Authentication

Every utterance is signed. One-time pairing codes with a 5-minute expiry and rate limiting.

Always Encrypted

Your phone and Mac meet over your own Tailscale network, end-to-end encrypted. The app refuses unencrypted public access.

Nothing In Between

No inbox of your conversations anywhere. What your phone and Mac say to each other is sealed with a key only they hold.

No Account Required

No sign-up, no email, no personal information. Scan a code once and start talking.

Getting Started

Five minutes, once.

Set it up on a Sunday and never touch it again — after this, opening Clack just finds your sessions.

Get Clack on your iPhone

The app you will actually talk to. Free to try for a week.

Install Clack Relay on your Mac

Drag it to Applications and open it. It sits in the menu bar, finds your open Claude Code sessions on its own, and needs no terminal and nothing configured.

Put both devices on Tailscale

So your phone can reach your Mac from anywhere, over your own private network. Free for personal use, and the whole network setup — no domain, no port forwarding, no certificate.

Pair your phone

Open Clack Relay on your Mac and choose Pair a Device. Point your phone at the QR code it shows. That is the last time you set anything up.

Try it on the next walk.

Install the relay, scan the code once, and put your phone in your pocket.
